| LACK CONSTRUCTION OFFERS HELP TO TEA FIRE VICTIMS, PUBLIC OFFICIALS, AND FIRE FIGHTERS
Lack Construction, headquartered in Santa Barbara, is making the use of its trucks, construction equipment, and offices available in the effort to fight the Tea Fire and help homeowners and other businesses affected by the devastating fire. In addition, Lack Construction has pledged up to $10,000 to match contributions from other businesses in the community to help assist victims of the fire.
Company President David Lack said, “Our trucks have been diverted from jobsites and are now available to homeowners and their families who need to salvage their belongings from the fire area, at such time as officials permit entry into their neighborhoods. We offered use of our construction equipment to the fire fighters as well. We asked both our private and public works clients for their understanding about this temporary diversion, and they are supportive, as we knew they would be. I also met with public officials and offered whatever additional help we can provide.”
Recognizing that small businesses operated out of homes destroyed by the fire may be unable to operate, Lack Construction is offering to temporarily share its office space to assist them perform critical functions. “As a small business owner myself, I know that day-to-day operations need to continue even during a crisis,” said Lack.
Those who wish to contribute to the $10,000 matching fund campaign initiated by Lack Construction should make their checks payable to “Tea Fire Victims-Lack Challenge” and mail or bring them to the Bank of Santa Barbara at 12 E. Figueroa Street, Santa Barbara 93101. Funds raised by this campaign will be contributed to the Santa Barbara Chapter of the American Red Cross.
